Key Components of Our Training and Service Program
PRE-ASSIGNMENT COMPREHENSIVE TRAINING: Detailed on-site orientation covering site-specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), incident report writing, client expectations, safety protocols, and confidentiality agreements.
JOB AND TASK SPECIFIC TRAINING (OJT): Training on incident report writing, de-escalation tactics, threat recognition, and integration with clients’ company culture.
FORMAL CONTINUOUS TRAINING: All agents attend monthly training sessions covering topics like de-escalation, defensive tactics, company culture, and medical training. Engagement and initiative are expectations of our agents, and training certifications are tracked in our systems along with annual reviews.
ANNUAL RETRAINING AND RECERTIFICATION: Fortis Security Inc. mandates Field Training officers (FTO) complete OSHA 30-hour training courses and regular refresher courses every three years. Agents receive 32 hours of mandatory training for license renewal and specialized training for armed agents, such as tactical simulations and live-fire sessions.
SUPERVISORY DEVELOPMENT TRAINING: Specialized development program for supervisors, including ASIS training for Security Specialists and Field Training Officers (FTOs) to ensure they are adequately prepared for their roles.
